welcome to antipasto, the italian art of eating before eating
being italian, i think i'm genetically predisposed to feed people. and growing up in an italian family in boston, food has always been a means to express our love for friends and family and to bring people together.

for the past few years, my friends here in austin have been encouraging me to share more about my love of cooking and the culture of italian eating. so i’ve created la tavola - antipasto grazing experiences where you we gather, unwind and nourish more than our bellies.

when antipasto is presented, we, in turn, become more present. we subconsciously slow down, we graze, catch up with friends and family, enjoy a glass (or bottle) of wine. we’re suddenly unhurried and more relaxed. our phones are a little more off to the side so they won’t obstruct the path of me wrapping this fig
and more relaxed. our phones are a little more off to the side so they won’t obstruct the path of me wrapping this fig with that prosciutto and making a home for it in our belly.

so whether it's an intro to a meal or even the meal itself, la tavola creates opportunities to nourish our bellies, our spirits and our friends who gather alongside.

mangiamo.
